 8th MAY,WORLD THALASSAEMIA DAY,2010

On 8th May, 2010 on the eve of World Thalassaemia Day,Hamza Foundation observed the day with great zeal and enthusiasm and organzied walk in front of Peshawar Press Club and the organization also organized a semminar about Thalassaemia and its prevention.Patients/Parents, management of Hamza Foundation , Doctors,Students of different universities,colleges and schools,religious personals, writers and poets and many other people from different walk of life participated in walk and semminar.The main motive of the walk and semminar was to observe the day with great pomp and show and create awareness about Thalassaemia and its prevention among the community.

Mr. Syed Kamran Shah, Project Director of Tanzeem Lissail-e-Walmahroom( Chief Minister,s welfare Proect) was the chief guest. He appreciated the free services of Hamza Foundation and promised to the Chairman of Hamza Foundation for support and cooperation of Hamza Foundation for their noble cause to serve the ailing humanity.A magic show was also organized by organization for the Thalassaemia kids to bring smile on their faces.The parents of Thalassaemia patients also enjoyed the magic show.In last the Thalassaemic kids presented Duaa(Lab pa athi hay Duaa ban k tammnah meri), which was highly appreciated by the participantes of semminar.

For the purpose to create awareness among the community about Thalassaemia and its prevention, special supplements in Daily Express, Daily Khabray and Daily AJJ and special mesagges of different celeberaties on PTV Home were also the  effective effortes of Hamza Foundation on World Thalassaemia Day..

World Blood Donor Day 2010

A joint walk and blood donation camp of Hamza Foudation and Pakistan Motor Way and National High Ways Police was organised on the eve of World Blood Donor Day on Toll Plaza M-1 sector..

14 June was celebrated as World Blood Donor Day, Hamza Foundation urged the masses to donate blood to organization so as lives of innocent children suffering from thalassemia could be saved.

Addressing on the occassion, Chairman of the foundation Ijaz ali khan highlited the importance of World Blood Donor Day and appreciated the volunteer blood donors for saving precious lives.Mr. Muhammad Tahir Khan,Sector Commanadant M-1, Pakistan Motor way Police appreciated the free Medical and Blood Services of Hamza Foundation and beside other blood donors , he donated his blood for saving lives of patients registered with Hamza Foundation.He also presented Motor way Police Shield to Mr. Ijaz Ali Khan , Chairman Hamza Foundation.The function was covered by a great number of T.V Channels and print media.The sole purpose of the said event was to create awareness about blood donation and appreciate the voulanteer blood donors.

Flanked by Dr. Fakhar Zaman, Medical director of the foundation, he said that the Hamza Foundation has 672 registered patients of thalassemia,heamophilia and blood cancer.

Beside, he said, the foundation also provides blood to other patients of different Government and private Hospitals of Khyber Paktunkhwa free of cost." We need 1000 blood bags monthly to carter to the needs of patients registered with the foundation," he said.

Dr. Fakhar said that the medical science had confirmed that a healthy person, from 18 to 50 years of age, could donate blood four times a year.He said that blood donation also diminishes the possibility of hepatitis and AIDS.

He said that the World Donors Day is observing today(on 14th June) to create awareness among the community to donate blood.He said that presently about 80 million people across the world donate blood amongst them 39 percent are from under developed countries.

He said that in Pakistan 70 percent of the donated blood is given to thalassemia patients. Mr Ijaz said that during the last Four years the Hamza Foundation collected blood from over 20,186 volunteers, majority of which comes from student community.

Rehydration/ Sunstroke Centre and Free Medical Camp at Jalozi(Nowshera) and Jlala IDPs Camps.

Hamza Foundation arranged the first rehydration/Sunstroke centre at Jalozai IDP's Camp.

 

More than 16000 patients were treated at Rehydration/Sunstroke centres and in the free medical camps.Female, Children and Aged patients were treated by expert Medical team of lady doctor,Male Doctors and paramedical staff of Hamza Foundation.

due to hot weather, a large number of patients were treated at the Rehydration/Sunstroke centre. most among them were elders and children.

Mr Ijaz ali the Founder and chairman of Hamza foundation said that Hamza foundation has worked in thier full capicityand helped the IDP's of Swat,Dir and Buneer and provided them Free Medical and free medicines facilties with the cooperation of public charity and donations.

 

 

Free Medical/ Camp for IDP's at Jala

 

Hamza foundation arranged Free Medical Camp for the IDP's with colloboration of Tanzeem Lisail Wal Mehroom.

 

Free Medicines were distributed among the IDP's. Hamza Foundation also distributed various items including food, daily use items, water coolers etc.

 

Hamza Foundation Free medical Camp was Visited by Govt and Social welfare personals and they appreciated the efforts of Organization for helping the IDP's. Mr. Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Chief Minister- KPK and Minister Enviornement, Mr Wajid ali Khan visited Hamza Foundation free medical camp for IDPs at Jalala Mardan.

 

 

Hamza Foundation Chairman Ijaz Ali monitered all the activites himself. while talking with media personals Ijaz Ali said, that" Hamza Foundation will keep working for the welfare of the people upto its best and will make all the efforts to help the IDP's of swat, Buneer and Dir. he also added that Hamza Foundation has always Helped the needy and helpless people and will always keep struggling for its aim.
